FIVE THINGS WE’RE OBSESSED WITH – Jan. 30

In 2015 we wanted to try new things. So this week we’re obsessed with new social media channels, creamer flavors, teaching methods and the Today Show’s new puppy.

Vine, Twitter’s video service, launched a kid’s version that was created during their Hack Week. All the puppy videos you could want in one app? Sign us up!

Snapchat unveiled Snapchat Discover this week, which allows media companies to publish content for 24 hours. There is a certain set of Minervans who are over-30 that relates to this Slate article – Snapchat makes us feel old.

NPR’s Sandwich Monday blog is one of our favorite weekly reads – where else are you going to read a review of White Castle burgers with commentary from Peter Sagal? NO. WHERE. This week we’re loving the review of the Girl Scout Cookie Coffee-mate – why you ask? Not only do we love Girl Scout Cookies, but our co-founder, Jesse Ihde, always has Hazelnut Coffee-mate with her and we’re wondering if she’ll branch out. We are not holding our breath. Seriously…she takes obsession to the next level.

A Dallas teacher posted a video of his classroom dancing to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk,” featuring last year’s big game’s halftime performer Bruno Mars, that has since gone viral. If this is what project-based learning looks like, we’re in!

Thanks to Pinterest we have Sunday’s party snacks all figured out. And thanks to the big brands not being able to keep a secret, we’ve seen the commercials. So now the only question is: who will win? The Today Show’s newest addition Wrangler solved that for us this morning. Our office is split, what say you?
